Our Professional Delivery - An Amazing Value!
- We highly recommend this service. There is only a small trip charge according to your location. The low cost is the same for one piece or an entire truckload. The actual delivery services are FREE
- Your new furniture will get tender loving care by our experts. Careful inspection, assembly, and truck loading, furniture is blanket wrapped and secured with ties for its trip to your home.
- Upon arrival, it will be placed in the exact spot that you have ready for it.
- Our crews will then assemble any beds, chairs or any of the many other pieces requiring this service after delivery.
- Furniture World Carpet One is not liable if the furniture does not fit into your home. If this occurs, delivery fees are not refundable and the cancellation or return policy will take effect.
When your order arrives:
- We will call to arrange a delivery date.
- Please confirm at this time if you want us to move or haul the furniture you are replacing. (We are not permitted to haul markedly soiled, damp or unsanitary pieces)
- Deliveries are done by a different day for each area. Two days before delivery, the trucks are carefully loaded according to the most efficient delivery route. This lowers costs and pollution.
- If you are unable to keep your appointment, notify us within 48 hours.
- On the day of the delivery we will call with a 3-hour time frame for arrival to your home.
- Please understand that some circumstances beyond our control, such as weather and traffic, can delay delivery time frames.
How to get ready before our truck arrives:
- Please have all pathways clear, including the removal of snow, ice, debris or other obstacles.
- Clear the area where your new furniture will be placed before the delivery crew arrives.
- A responsible person, 18 years or older, must be home to accept delivery.
- Delivery driver is responsible for collecting all COD’s before unloading the truck.
- Delivery crew is not permitted to perform any carpentry work, move any electronic equipment, lift or hoist over banisters or other obstructions, deliver merchandise through windows, or to other locations.
Customer Pick-up
- Please notify the store 48 hours before picking up.
- Pick-ups can be made Monday through Friday between 10:00 AM and 5:00PM.
- Please bring your receipt to the business office first.. For your own protection, you may be asked for photo identification.
- Please remember to inspect your furniture thoroughly before loading and sign your approval on the pick-up document.
- We will assist in placing your merchandise in your vehicle, however, proper loading and securing of the product is your responsibility. We are not responsible for loss or damage after it leaves our door.
- It is your responsibility to check and secure your order carefully before leaving the store.
Delivery Area
We deliver within a range of 30 miles of either store. Greater distances within western Pennsylvania are considered on an individual basis.
If you need or prefer that our delivery crew prepares your home for delivery, please let us know in advance. This can be arranged for a fee of $32 per average room. This may include moving other furniture, removing wall art and securing low hanging light fixtures.
Measuring before purchasing and delivery.*
- Always measure all door sizes, both height and width.
- If the furniture is going up or down stairs, measure the diagonal distance between the ceiling and the stairs-looking for the shortest distance. Turning circles (i.e. tops of stairs), hallways, low ceilings and banisters may affect the fit.
- Measure the height of the hallways.
- Get diagonal measurements of all your furniture (your salesperson will be happy to assist with this) as you will need extra diagonal spaces at home for a successful delivery.
- Some of the most common pieces tha do not fit are large headboards going upstairs, Extra deep or heavy merchandise that cannot be manuevered around bends.
